BossKwe is an online resource to share our language journey in claiming and celebrating Anishinaabemowin. This is an extension of the work we are doing at the community level with language circles, recording speakers and the creation of resources including a four part story series with vibrant art from local artists.
The Anishinaabekwewag Grandmother's Circle is an ad-hoc group comprised of Anishinaabekwe Elders and Elders' Helpers from the Kettle and Stony Point First Nation who formed in response to environmental issues and concerns in 2014. Since then the Circle has conducted workshops, community sharing circles and other community based activities to help preserve and revitalize their language and pass it down as a living language to the next generation.
